Warning Description: Wind Advisory
Warning Date: 11:45 am CST on March 10, 2010
WarningSum:...Wind Advisory Remains In Effect Until 6 Pm Cst This Evening...
Warning Message:A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.
A dry line will move east to the I-35 corridor by midday...and
into East Texas by late afternoon. As the dry line passes...winds
will become southwesterly at 20 to 30 mph...with some gusts over
40 mph possible. The wind speeds will decrease to 10 to 20 mph
toward sunset.
Winds will become west and northwest later this evening into the
overnight hours...as a cold front moves through the region.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 20 to
30 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Boaters should
use extra caution when venturing onto area lakes. Residents may
wish to take action to secure trash cans...lawn furniture...and
other lightweight outdoor objects that may be blown around in the
strong winds.

Evening...
Warning Message:A red flag warning remains in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.
A dry line will rapidly move east today...to near the I-
35 corridor by midday and into East Texas this afternoon. For
areas along and west of I-35...winds will become southwesterly
and increase to 20 to 30 mph behind the dry line. Expect minimum
relative humidities of 10 to 20 percent this afternoon. These
weather conditions in conjunction with dry fuels will create
extreme fire weather danger.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are very likely to occur. A combination of strong winds...low
relative humidity...and dry vegetation will create explosive fire
growth potential. Avoid all outside burning and welding on
Wednesday. Do not toss lit cigarette Butts outside. Report wild
fires to the nearest Fire Department or law enforcement office.
